The Web Assets Changelog

We're continuing to work and make Web Assets even better. This changlog is where we publish new features and improvements.

Domain Redirects with HTTPS

New

Domain redirects with full HTTPS support is a new feature just added to the application. You can now redirect any of your domains to a target URL with full HTTPS support. All redirects are provisioned with a TLS/SSL certificate to ensure HTTPS traffic is accepted.

Bulk importing of domains is now available on the domain list page. Selecting a CSV file then mapping the domain name, tag and notes fields allows you to add domains in bulk.

Notifications

New

Background jobs can trigger important events that require team member notifications. These notifications are available in the top menu bar by clicking the bell icon. The list ensures that you will not miss any important events related to the assets that you are tracking.

Domain List Advanced Search

Improvement

Advanced search includes filters for Status, Registrar, Tags and Exceptions. Each filter narrows down the search to reduce results to help locate exactly what you need to see. From here, you can use this in combination with the Export feature to export a filtered list to a CSV file.

Domain Tags

New

Tagging your domains helps add context to your assets. These tags are also useful for filtering domains when using the domain search list.

Domain Notes

New

Sometimes you need to add a note to a domain to timestamp something important or keep track of items you may need later. Adding notes to a domain is now enabled.

Domain Exception Monitor

Improvement

Our Domain Exception Monitor is a fully automated process that runs every day without any need for manual action. It protects you from losing any domain assets due to expiration and other important exceptions. It provides an extra layer of protection and prevents missing those vital alerts. Just add your domains and we’ll monitor them daily.

When the given domain is about to expire, domain expiry monitoring spots it and alerts your team through the daily report. The domain expiry monitor is an automated way of checking the domain expiration as well as these other important exceptions:

  1. Domain expiry
  2. Transfer lock changes
  3. Status code changes
  4. Registrar changes
  5. DNS (A and MX) record changes

Daily Report

New

A report is sent by email daily with a list of domain issues and exceptions. Any domain that is expiring or has an issue flagged is reported so you can take action.

Copy to Clipboard

Improvement

This handy feature can be found throughout the application. Hovering over select icons and data elements will show a tool-tip highlighting the ability to Copy to Clipboard.

Domains: Initial Feature Set

Add your domains and Web Assets will gather Whois and DNS records and store the results for reference. Every day we’ll check to see if there are any changes to these two vital data areas and log the results. Page through domain history to see changes over time.

  • Add domains to keep them all in one list
  • Domain List displays registrar, status and expiration date
  • Automatically gathers Whois data
  • Automatically gathers DNS resource records
  • Domain History shows Whois and DNS changes over time (daily checks)
